Straight line Mechanism:
Constrain mechanism is that it permit only relative motion of an oscillatory nature along a straight line.
The mechanism used for this purpose are called straight line mechanism
1. In which only turning pair are used
2. In which only sliding pair are used

Let O be a point on the circumference of a circle of diameter OP.
Let OA be a any chord and B is a point On OA produced such that,
OA X OB = constant
Then locus of point B will be a straight Line Perpendicular to Diameter OP.
