Advantages:

3. The size of object doesn’t matter for casting.
4. The casting objects have high compressive strength.
5. All structure made by casting has wide range of properties.
6. This can create an accurate object.
7. All material can be cast.
8. It creates isotropic structure.
9. It is cheapest among all manufacturing processes.
10. Composite component can be easily made by casting.
Disadvantages:
Along with these advantages, casting has following disadvantages.
1. It gives poor surface finish and mostly requires surface finish operation.
2. Casting defects involves in this process.
3. It gives low fatigue strength compare to forging.
4. It is not economical for mass production.
